The 2024 IDUG EMEA Db2 Tech Conference is just around the corner, starting the next weekend. You can still register to attend either in person in Valencia, Spain, or to follow virtually via streamed sessions. Because I use this blog to find my own stuff, here are some links to keep handy.* The 2024 IDUG EMEA Db2 Tech Conference website serves as entry point for everything.
- You can find the conference schedule / agenda on Sched in different list formats. You can search by topic or speaker and build your own agenda.
- That same page with the schedule also has links to the conference app. I recommend to install the app for easier navigation of the conference, its schedule, and to keep updated.
- The Solution Center opens on Monday evening with a reception. Meet your peers, check out the sponsors and vendors, network.
- Tuesday evening and Wednesday evening (as usual) have the Broadcom and IBM events. Typically, you need to pick up free tickets at the respective booth in the Solution Center.
- Check out the conference schedule for badging and certification hours. Use the opportunity and get certified for Db2.
- Who is behind the conference program? The IDUG EMEA CPC, the conference planning committee. (I still have fond memories of being in the CPC)
- PSP are partner-sponsored presentations, technical (!!!) talks in which conference sponsors can showcase their Db2-related offering or give roadmap overviews.
- The Valencia Conference Center (Palacio de Congresos / Palau de Congressos) website has further links.
- Use a taxi or Metro Valencia to get from the airport to your hotel.
BTW: Have you seen that Phil Nelson / IDUG have asked to bring IDUG or Db2 memorabilia for a contest (with prizes!)?
That’s it for today. If you have feedback, suggestions, or questions about this post, please reach out to me on Mastodon (@data_henrik@mastodon.social) or LinkedIn.
